Megan MacLeod
 

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Megan (she/her) is the owner and founder of Bridges Speech and Language. 

She received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Dalhousie University in 2013. Since graduating, Megan has worked in private practice and public health settings in Vancouver and Halifax. She is also a clinical educator for students in Dalhousie's Speech-Language Pathology program. 

Some of Megan's additional training includes:

  • Hanen It Takes Two to Talk

  • Hanen More Than Words

  • DIRFloortime 

  • The SCERTS Model

  • TEFL certification

Megan loves working with individuals of all ages and their families, and lives with her own family in Halifax's North End.

Jasmin Heim
 

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Jasmin (she/her) graduated with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Dalhousie University. Since completing the program in 2019, Jasmin has provided services in both public and private settings in Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Ontario, and Nova Scotia. She enjoys working with adult and pediatric clients, addressing a wide variety of needs in the areas of fluency (stuttering), articulation, language, literacy, and voice. 

 

Some of Jasmin’s additional training includes:

  • Lidcombe Program (for pediatric stuttering)

  • Natural Language Acquisition in Autism: Echolalia to Self- 

      Generated Language (Level 1 & 2)

 

Jasmin recognizes the importance of a collaborative approach in client-centred care, and works with families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to augment progress in therapy. She has a particular interest in neurodiversity affirming therapies and focuses on creating joyful and authentic connections in her sessions.

Olivia devine
 

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Olivia (she/her) graduated with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Dalhousie University in 2023. Prior to her work as a speech-language pathologist, Olivia was an early childhood educator, and has experience providing education and care to children of all ages. She enjoys working in collaboration with families and other related professionals.

Kim mcivor
 

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Dr. Kim McIvor (she/her) received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Dalhousie University in 2005, and Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 2022. She also obtained an additional bachelor's degree in French from Dalhousie University/Université de Bourgogne in 2008. She has practiced in Newfoundland, Québec, and Bermuda, has returned home to Halifax to continue her practice at Bridges.

Kim works with children and adults of all ages to assess and provide support for a variety of speech, language, literacy, voice, and feeding/swallowing delays and disorders. She is certified by Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC), the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and registered to practice in both Nova Scotia and Bermuda. She holds additional certifications and training in:

 

  • Hanen It Takes Two to Talk

  • Hanen ABC and Beyond

  • Hanen I'm Ready!

  • Administration and Scoring of the ADOS-2 for autism diagnosis

  • Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) for children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech

  • The Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme

  • PEERS for Adolescents (both parent-assisted and school-based programs)

  • Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) LOUD program for individuals with Parkinson's

  • Myofascial Release for Neck, Voice, and Swallowing Disorders

 

In her free time, Kim enjoys getting outdoors and doing activities such as triathlon, skiing, skating, hiking, and watersports, reading, making and listening to music, and spending time with her friends and family.

hannah cameron
 

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Hannah (she/her) completed her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Dalhousie University. Prior to becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, Hannah had years of experience working with children with varying abilities and complex communication needs and their families in a variety of settings. Hannah is passionate about inclusion, advocating for neurodiversity, and prioritizing client and family centered care. Her main interests include early speech and language development and Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC).  

In her free time, Hannah enjoys maintaining an active-healthy lifestyle through CrossFit and nutrition. She finds joy in traveling to explore new places, summer days at her cottage in New Brunswick and problem-solving the Rubik’s Cube and Sudoku puzzles. Above all, she values spending time with her friends and family.
